My name is Richard Zhao, I am an illustrator based in Atlanta, GA. Coming from a sequential art background, I strongly emphasize storytelling elements and incorporate line art as a foundation block for all my works. While sticking to my sequential roots, I incorporate a variety of rendering styles ranging from graphic to painterly or a mix of both.

I have a Batchelor’s of Fine Art (BFA) degree in Sequential Art and a Masters of Fine Art (MFA) degree in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). My sources of inspiration stem from comics/manga, animation, Science fiction movies, and video games. My work includes conceptual, package, and editorial illustration.
